He is our sweet baby boy and such a joy everyday! I got really sad last night because I was thinking in my head it is time to start thinking about planning for his first birthday, I'm not ready for him to not be a little baby anymore...they grow up so fast. But it also gives me a little reality check that I need to step back from the everyday tasks of taking care of their needs and just enjoy them! The housework can wait:)

I'm going to try and get better at posting. Just trying to get on a normal schedule after Jon left. We have been to Charleston, had a wedding weekend in Raleigh,my parents were in town for a few days and Jon's grandparents have been here. So that is my goal for the week to get back to some kind of normalcy. I didn't do so good last night but the kids finally got back into their beds but I was up until 2:30; nothing like watering your grass and flowers at midnight and putting 3 baby bunnies back in their nest that my dogs scared half to death and then some cleaning. But I can at least see my counters and living room floor. I think I need a maid! As you can see Cam is now mobile so he can pull out just as fast as Ella does. He is definatly coming into his own he is still very laid back but getting a little bit fo personality he protest verywell, Ella better look out in a fewmonths he is going to pay her back big time. Ella is doing great shedoes miss her Daddy though!!! She talks about him everyday and talks to him on the phone. Her conversation skills are incredible. Her little brain really does amaze me!

After a long but short block leave, we are still around. We were in RI for Easter so the kids didn't get to wear their beautiful Easter outfits, so I thought I would try to take some pics myself this weekend. The new thing these days is to use everything and anything as a ladder. She is so funny, she moves the kitchen rugs so she can push the chair or stool through so she can get to stuff on the counter. I promise we are still around. We have had a very busy New Year already. Jon is settling into command, preparing for the upcoming deployment and I am busy with the kids, dogs, house, and standing up the FRG for B CO. I am pretty much staring from scratch there hasn't been a good FRG experience for the company for the last 2 commanders. It is alot of work but I love it and it's a good thing because we can do it the way we think it should be done and no one is comparing to the last leader. So much to get done since the deployment has been moved up seven months! Busy, busy, busy!

Fall Festival

We had a fall festival in our neighborhood Sunday. It was a great turnout and lots of fun for the kids. These are the best pictures I could getof Ella in her ladybug costume. I wish I could have gotten more but we had to rush out of the door. Trying to get 2 kids ready, fed and maximize nap time is a challenge. I sold hotdogs for the Moms Group so Ella had a sitter. The teenage neighbor watched her. It worked out well. We will see which costume Ella wears Fri Nemo or the ladybug.....

Ella slept in our bed last night and was still asleep when we got up this morning. When I went in to check on her at about 9, she wasn't in the bed but I could here rustling around and all I could think was what is she into now! Then her cute little bedhead popped out of the pack and play. Silly girl!!! Don't worry I would never leave the two of them in the same room unattended! If you have been noticing a paci in Ella's pictures lately, she thinks they are cool now. When I was unpacking all the baby stuff she found them. It is now a novelty! She is just about 2years to late on liking them. It would have lessened or stress level when she was an infant if she would have started liking them then. Well at least the 100 pink pacis we have are getting some use b/c I think we bought every style ever made just for her to look at us and spit it out.

He's a good sleeper and likes his pacifier but definitely knows the difference between it and mommy. Today is his and Angela's checkup. Yeah! This is the first night in 2 weeks that Ella has slept through the night. We have had some major teething issues. Those 2 year molars are the pits. Even with Motrin or Tylenol before bed she was still waking up screaming in pain for about 45 min. Nothing even I could do would soothe her. Even putting her in bed with us sometimes would not work. She has even been grumpy during the day. We keep asking where our sweet little girl went? So hopefully the worst is over for now, until the other side starts to push through. Poor baby has always had a tough time with her teeth.

Shannon spent the evening with us while her Mommy and Daddy went to meet her pre-shcool teacher. Shannon is Ella's best bud. They are both Dec babies and a year apart but they still get along very well. The girls and Jon had a treasure hunt in the back yard. They had a blast. Then they took a bath, had popcorn, and watched Nemo. Ella is obsessed with Nemo these days. 2 bowls of popcorn and 2 purple cups, life was good. We are having some sharing and "mine" issues these days.

35 weeks!

I finally have a c-section date. Sept 9th is the big day. 4 weeks from tomorrow. Man do I have a lot to do!!! I know I am having a baby but I don't think I can comprehend having a newborn in the house until he is here. You don't have much time to think about it with a 20 month old running around. With your first thats all you can think about. I remember but not really because I was so sleep deprived. I am ready to not be pregnant but kind of sad b/c this will probably be the last one. Famous last words right!

Poor baby has pink eye. When I called this morning for an appt of course there were no same day appts left even though it was 7:30am, but to my suprise the advice nurse called her in a RX and we didn't have to go sit and wait. I was very thankful. If not we would have had to go to the evening clinc on a first come first serve basis. I would not have been happy. Ella loves her shoes and purses. Daddy is in trouble. I just got these super cute sandles for Ella this week and my wonderful, annoying, needy dog decided to take it upon herself to redecorate them! I haven't been that mad in a long time. Hey Everybody!

I wanted to send out an update to let everyone know that I am doing fine and am learning a ton and getting a ton of valuable experience. I want to start out by saying a huge thank you to everyone that has sent me letters and care packages; please know that they are greatly appreciated and I am very thankful to have the support at home that I do. I miss you all very much and cannot wait to get back and see you.

Alot has happened lately Angela and Company moved into our new house that I am anxious to get to see; I'm sure she did a magnificent job. Congratulations to all of our friends that have had little blessings added to their families and those that just found out they'll be getting one soon enough!!! Also congratulations to my sister Meridith and my future brother in law Ryan on their engagement!!!!!I will thankfully be home in time for Cameron's birth so that in itself is my christmas, birthday and any other holiday rolled into one!

Here are some pictures of Ella and Shannon playing in our backyard tonight. Shannon is our next door neighbor. Ella loves Shannon she cries everytime she has to come inside or Shannon goes home. Aren't there matching bathing suits too cute!!!

Getting ready for my haircut

I took Ella today to get her haircut at a kids salon. She had a blast and was very cooperative! She also had her 18mos well baby check up today. All is well. She weighs 24lbs. We saw a new Dr today and she was very nice and good with Ella.
